Increased our risk appetite in a number of areas including but not limited to:
Increased limits for percentage of payments to contractors / sub-contractors.
Increased appetite to provide cover for most goods imported other than some specific items.
Increased depth limit.
Increased percentage of welding away.
Now only excluding specific items.
As you know there are variations in the approach that different insurers take.
We highlight below a few areas to be mindful of in regard to processing Calibre Insurance Business Package to help you get the best possible outcome from Calibre Insurance in terms of acceptance and pricing:
Any risk that imports goods but does not actually conduct manufacturing, should be quoted under the appropriate occupation that reflects what the business actually does ie Retailer / Wholesaler. You then simply answer ‘yes’ to the importing question on liability where applicable.
A ‘tenant business’ occupation needs to be entered for each and every separate tenant.
For Calibre Insurance each and every separate tenant to be listed. For example if a building has 2 accounting firms and 2 apartments, then 4 tenants business must be entered with 2 as Accountants and 2 as apartments.
We have done a lot of work on removing or reducing a large portion of restricting endorsements.
In some circumstances endorsements may increase cover, rather than restrict cover.
For specific Professional Office type occupations with Property Damage cover taken, a bonus Office endorsement will be automatically applied at no extra cost to provide a range of additional benefits, including but not limited to:
These extra covers are specifically designed to enhance our Calibre Business Package to provide a tailored product for professional office clients.
For specific Trade Contractor type occupations like:
..a bonus Cover for Sub-Contractors endorsement will be automatically applied at no extra cost.
